Scottish Ghost Tour Company Launches Anthology of Horror

“We understand the business of horror, so who better than us to publish a horror anthology?  Our aim was simple. Spread a little horror around.” City of the Dead Tours

Black Hart Entertainment who runs City of the Dead Tours, an Edinburgh-based ghost tour company, has launched its very own Horror Anthology – a compilation of short stories by new and established writers from around the world.

Book of the Dead is a compilation of 14 stories, the result of a competition run by the award-winning tour company which saw it inundated with hundreds of entries. The anthology also includes stories by established, award winning writers such as Scottish authors David MacPhailCatherine MacPhail and playwright Anita Sullivan.

Jan Henderson, Owner of Black Hart Entertainment / City of the Dead Tours as well as an award-winning author, said:

“Our tours tell the history of Edinburgh’s past. Our tour guides are all storytellers who take their listeners on a journey through the city’s history and its horror, often eliciting very strong emotion. That emotion is usually terror but that’s our job and we are very good at what we do.

We understand the business of terror, what makes people jump and gives them goose bumps; so who better to compile a book of horror stories.”

“We also wanted to give other storytellers the opportunity to share their work and we’re thrilled to publish work by first-time authors from as far away as Australia.”

But this isn’t your average book of horror stories, the anthology isn’t full of vampires or zombies and comedy features prominently. Well, that is as long as you find death funny….

The anthology is available in paperback or as an e-book from the company’s website: cityofthedeadtours.com or Amazon.
